In honor of the end of this crazy, crazy year, we’d like to treat you to an end-of-year round up! Way back in the early days of the blog, Tracey used to do a “year in review” series, and for the rest of December, we’ll be doing something similar—a kind of highlights reel of some of the beautiful weddings and engagements we’ve posted in 2016.
Each day, we’ll share a selection from a couple’s story, a sweet engagement shot, a wedding detail, and a picture of two ladies kissing: a smorgasbord of LBTQ love and delight to warm your hearts and souls—in the face of steadily dropping temperatures (at least for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere)!
Whether you’re planning a holiday engagement or spring wedding, we hope you’ll take this opportunity to peruse our archives for inspiration—and if you’re recently married or engaged, don’t forget to send in your stories and pictures via our submission page!
“Rhodes and I first met in 2010 during my freshman year of college during a course called Philosophy of Ethics. She was a senior philosophy major and I was pre-med. Unbeknownst to me, Rhodes was crushing on me from day one. Throughout the year we hung out more, resulting in her even asking me to pride prom in the spring…” —Kaylin & Rhodes
Today’s Engagement Shot
We love this Washington state shot with Megan & Jenna—it’s not every couple that can look glam in parkas!
Today’s Wedding Details
We couldn’t resist picking two from the month of January: this selection of artfully mismatched parasols carried by Tara and Megan‘s wedding party…
…and this beautiful pocket watch, with a photo of broom Marissa’s late father, so that he could be present for Marissa & Sarah‘s big day.
Lyn & Sami steal a moment alone during their Baltimore wedding.
