Engagement: Nicole & Marla

From Marla: Nicole and I have known each other for almost thirteen years, and have been in a relationship for nearly nine. We became friends at our overnight summer camp, Camp JRF, when we were only 12 and 13 years old. At the end of high school/beginning of college, our age group went on a teen trip to Israel. It was on this trip that Nicole and I realized we had feelings for each other beyond friendship, and have been together ever since.

We both attended Brandeis University together, and upon my graduation the year after Nicole, we moved together to New York to pursue respective graduate schools. This past May, after I had finished law school, and we had decided to move back to our roots in Chicago, Nicole asked me to marry her, and I asked her to marry me in return.

Our wedding is scheduled for November 5, 2016 in Chicago, Illinois, and almost one year to the date in advance, our incredible photographer Hooman from Vesic Photography met us for some amazing engagement photos.

Nicole and I are bubbly, fun, and sometimes goofy people. We wanted our engagement photos to reflect that. We had picked out some stunning locations within our favorite city of Chicago to feature in our engagement photos, and concluded with spectacular shots of the city from Nicole’s mom’s roof-deck. Of course, we could not have a photo shoot without our cat Spencer stealing the spotlight.
