Wedding: Jessica & Rebecca

From Rebecca: I often teased my family that they loved Jess more than me. I understood though, because she is the most amazing woman I know. So on the day we got married in my father and step-mother’s backyard in upstate New York I reminded them all of this (almost scientifically-proven) fact. My mother looked at me as mothers do when they know they’re right and you are wrong, and said, “Today is not about dividing love, but about multiplying it.”
And then I cried, because she was right. I looked around and saw my beautiful blended family and Jess’s gregarious extended family all sitting together at one long table as if they were one, as if they had always been one big, happy family. That was what our wedding day was about: uniting and multiplying our love as a couple and our love within and between our families.
During the ceremony, Jess and I were married under an arch my father built for us. The flowers were picked and arranged by Jess’s mother and sister. The rings were blessed by each family member, including my 3 month old nephew, before we exchanged them. My sister-in-law played the processional on her violin. This summary and these pictures can only tell a small portion of the story of our wedding. We are truly blessed to have each other and to have such support and love from our families. I hope all couples are able to have what we have.
