Monique and Megan

From Monique: After meeting in 2010, Megan and I began traveling back and forth visiting each other in our states of Delaware and California. After 3 1/2 years and 246,678 frequent flyer miles, we finally tied the knot. Unfortunately, due to joint custody we share with our former spouses neither one of us is able to relocate to either state. However, even given this geographical obstacle, we have found that our love has become stronger and more committed with each passing day. In planning our wedding, it was only natural that we’d have an airplane themed wedding. Our local newspaper even featured an article about us bi-coastal moms getting married! We sent out boarding pass invitations, had luggage tag place cards, and a fun passport center for our guests to take pictures (photo booth). It was so much fun having our guests experience a little bit of our traveling world and celebrating our wedding at the same time. We look forward to the days of living together in the same house, but until then we will continue flying back and forth every few weeks. If there is one thing we have learned in this relationship, it’s that love will grow no matter how much distance is between us.
