Theresa and Sarah’s Groton, MA wedding is absolutely picture perfect. I love all the traditional elements: church, uniform, dads, gowns, formal dinner.
I often talk about the benefit of being a gay couple is that you can forego all traditions without getting grief. But sometimes you want tradition. And sometimes traditional is harder to do as a gay couple. I remember my mom mentioning that she was glad we weren’t doing some of the traditional wedding elements because it wasn’t a “real wedding.” My mom came around but if I had had these photos prior to our wedding I would have shown them to her (or any doubter) to say “see, it is a real wedding!”
Theresa and Sarah (and your families)- you are a lovely inspiration.
Thank you so much to photographer Josh Behan for submitting these photos. Check out his blog to see Sarah and Theresa’s engagement shoot.

Congrats ladies. This wedding is perfectly lovely. It is the most “real” wedding I have seen in a long time, because it is real emotions and real love.
Theresa’s and Sarah’s wedding day was just like a normal happy wedding day with proud parents. family and friends. I tell everyone to this day, This was a nice wedding just like my 1st daughters wedding 364 days before
and everyone was enjoying themselves. It was a happy day. My work laptop has a screen saver of the wedding day photo’s and you should see the people’s faces when the screen saver goes on with two brides. We all just laugh and they all say how beautiful they are..
Beautiful photos! May I ask where you got the lovely cake topper from?
Congrats ladies! I love the theme! Absolutely beautiful!
Nothing is more beautiful than 2 gorgeous women getting married to each other.
