I haven’t talked about sponsorship/advertising opportunities much because it isn’t the most exciting topic. But it’s time to put it out there that there that THIS BLOG is a good place to promote your business. I offer free vendor directory listings for those that submit content but the vendors that pay a small fee to advertise in the sidebar* are the ones that really reap the reward.
I just received this email last week:
Dear Tracey,
I wanted to thank you again for including me on your fantastic site. I have booked two weddings as a result of my listing, and I already received an inquiry for a wedding next year from the post about Kym and G’s wedding. So not only are you providing a fantastic, inclusive resource for LGBT individuals planning their weddings, but you are also an incredible resource for this queer lady trying to turn a passion into a viable business! Basically you are amazing and so is your site. So thank you again for all that you do.
All the best,
Michelle

When Angela and I were planning our wedding we had three different photographers turn us down because we are a same-sex couple. I know a lot of you have experienced that – especially in states where marriage equality isn’t legalized. It’s so important that we support vendors that are willing to service same-sex couples and even more so, are willing to put it out on the web (many vendors will allow you to pay them for their services but won’t publicize via blogs that they have gay clients for fear those that are biased won’t hire them).
Here’s my point – vendors, please consider advertising on the blog and readers, please hire those that are featured on the blog. Simple enough.
*For a limited time, as an incentive to those that advertise in the sidebar I am offering a free sponsored post.

I’d love to advertise! Please email me info o it
Thanks Ali! I will shoot you a message shortly.
This is so important Tracey! This blog is so important! We also experienced discrimination and it’s so humiliating on some level when you go through that. I also chose not to work with friends who would not post or otherwise include/advertise working with us. I hope your site continues to grow and I hope that while I know you will be faced with a roller coaster of complexities (and joys) along the way…you do not get discouraged. We will be here to support you and all the wonderful vendors 100%!!
This blog is an amazing venture. It was one of my (and still is) favorite places of inspiration during the planning of our wedding. I’ve recommended it to so many people, vendors included. Thank you for all you do, Tracey!
Thank you all so much for the words of encouragement and support! And of course for reading and advertising!
I will definitely look to this blog for photographers when I have my wedding, it makes the decision SO much easier. Photographers are crazy if they don’t advertise with you, this blog rocks!
