From photographer Ali Beck: Amy (in the tie) and Kristy are a very special couple. They are devoted to fostering children in need of homes, providing respite care for children with special needs and are even in the process of opening their lives up permanently to a very special little boy with multiple disabilities. Kristy recently went back to school to pursue a career working with visually impaired children which provided the perfect distraction for Amy to prepare a proposal!
I was honored to be able to celebrate the coming-together of this beautiful family. We should all strive to be this selfless. Perhaps that’s why they have been blessed with so much happiness?!
Their engagement session was held in downtown Rochester, NY. I enjoy finding the soft beauty among hard urban edges. Kind of a nice parallel to some lesbian couples.
