There’s a romance associated with a tiny lesbian wedding / elopement. That notion of a couple saying “fuck what the world thinks – let’s run off and get married.”
I don’t know if that was the case for Lauren and Rachel when they got married in Central Park but these photos/their love and tears/this couple/the rain/the bicycle boutonniere are perfect.
Photos by a local favorite of mine, Catherine Hunsburger.
By the way, I cried so hard at our private legal wedding in CT and Angela cried at our big wedding in CA. She’s still a bit mad at me for only shedding tears in front of the Justice of the Peace.

I have the privilege of knowing these lovely ladies, and was able to attend their reception in Indiana, and I’ll just say that in addition to being beautiful, they are some of the best people I know. These pictures always make me teary-eyed!
Love the pictures! And I second everything Anna Said.
Can you encourage these ladies to submit their reception photos. – T
This is my daughter and daughter-in-law and I couldn’t be prouder of them. Yes, for looking the country’s crazy laws in the eye and saying, the heck with you, and doing what the rest of us do every day! I love them both, for who they are, and for what they said to the world when they said, “I do.”
Congratulations! Have a wonderful life together, you deserve to be happy!
I do not know either of the newlyweds, but I know a friend. I wish you both happiness. If your choices in life are as great as your choices in background, you have it made. The photos are great. –Jim Repass
Gorgeous photos! I like that tie a lot, too.
Me too. I’m totally into that lavender and grey.
