From the fantastic (and queer!) Margan Photography: We were so privileged to shoot Mindy and Jade’s wedding day! Mindy and Jade first encountered each other through an online GLBT forum and hooked up at one of the forum’s gatherings on a tiny Sydney harbour island called Shark Island and have been together ever since. On the 5th May they readied themselves – together as always – and took the journey by water taxi back to the island were they were married by Mindy’s father in a traditional pagan handfastening. Jade is an exceptional performer and her vows that she sung to Mindy were absolutely beautiful.
The reception was held at an amazing little theatre in Newtown – one of Sydney’s thriving GLBT hubs and it was a fabulous evening of delicious food, live performances from their very talented performance friends and a whole lot of Karaoke – a favourite past time of the couple.
We felt so blessed to share their day with them – they are two sides of the same coin and absolutely perfect together.
