Engagement Photos: Tina and Jenny

I LOVE this couple and these photos.

From Jenny: These are engagement photos taken by the incredibly talented and wonderfully sweet Diana Rothery who will also be our wedding photographer. Our two year anniversary was May 5th and for a surprise I flew Diana (she’s in San Fran) to LA to do engagement photos with us, something Tina really wanted. It was also a wonderful chance to meet Diana.

I’m a midwestern transplant, and Tina is a SoCal native, so having these portraits in Los Angeles means a lot to us, as the city really is the backdrop to our love story. Tina had this weird feeling she’d meet a blond from East of her and I felt compelled to move to LA from Chicago by something greater than I could understand, even though the thought of living in LA didn’t sound very appealing. And here we are, loving each other and the city. We met at the only piano bar in Los Angeles, The Other Side (which is sadly closing this month). Though neither of us believed in it until it happened, it was love at first sight. I got called up to sing and was so flustered by Tina’s presence, I dropped all my sheet music on the floor, which she helped me gather. But by the end of the night we were singing Wham’s “I’m Your Man” together up at the mic. Our wedding is in September in downtown Los Angeles.
