Sarahbeth is the creative genius behind Unabashed Apparel, a handmade, sustainable women’s clothing line, so when she and Gracia were ready to get married they did it in style.
From Sarahbeth: In October we eloped to upstate New York. We didn’t want anyone, including the photographer (who also happens to be a dear friend) to be present for our vows – we wanted to be married completely alone. After we eloped we went on a honeymoon to Scotland and Ireland.
We held a bonfire celebration two days after Thanksgiving in our North Carolina Appalachian mountains. We served grilled cheese, homemade tomato soup, apple cider with whiskey, and pie. The day centered around a toasting at 4-ish in the afternoon. My brother and father played their guitars after the sun went down. It was a wonderfully laid back, down home day.
I did indeed make Gracia’s and my outfits both for the elopement and the bonfire. (Outside my women’s apparel line I take a couple of wedding dress commissions a year.)

Well firstly a big congratulations to Sarahbeth and Gracia on their wedding day, it looked truly bliss! The photographer has done a spectacular job catching the mood within the surroundings! of course not forgetting to mention the truly wonderfully job Sarahbeth has done with the wedding clothing range 5 stars all round! would have liked to have seen some more photography of the evening because the photos that are their look like everyone was having a great time at the wedding!
Amazingly sexy!
You two are beautiful… as are your designs. I wish you would make an outfit for me. But I would not look good in white. All the best to you both!
So thriled to see my good friends’ wedding featured here! They are wonderful (and sexy!) women, and the photos reflect that.
I also wanted to say that your site makes me feel so good! My wife and I got married 3 years ago after 7 years together (and G & SB were there, yay!). While there were some lesbian wedding photos I found online before we got married (in my effort to feel less alone in my conservative, small town), this one somehow “normalizes” it more, and I feel validated when I didn’t even know I wanted to feel that way. So now I’m hooked, and will be reading more of your beautiful blog.
That’s is the goal of the blog, so thank you! And congratulations on your wedding from three years ago.
Here’s what I love about this site: It’s *so* matter-of-fact about marriage. Yeah, the focus is marriage between lesbians, but there’s *no* discussion about rights or legislation or any kind of meanness.
It’s just about love, hope, women, and their loved ones.
Lawdy, I love this blog.
Awe, thanks Karen!
